Our client has invested heavily is technology applicable to broadacre farming and pastures, as well as having applications across horticulture. Using proprietary technology that focusses on managing soil nutrition and plant productivity. As their business continues to develop, they are looking for a commercially focused candidate who can join their existing national sales team in the role of Area Sales Manager in Central / Southern NSW

The primary focus of the role will be to develop prospective farmer clients as well as maintain existing commercial relationships. The role will also manage and develop relationships with relevant industry contacts locally (agronomists, machinery distributors, input suppliers and contractors) and develop the territory to its true potential and will be a particularly important and rewarding part of this role. You will also have strong support from internal technical resources and contribute to the development of the business through being the conduit between the farmer and them.

As this role is largely autonomous, your ability to be self-starting within a focused team is important. Your sales experience and exposure to broadacre farming will equip you with the business skills and understanding to develop profitable business relationships at all levels. You will have the ability to work autonomously, communicate effectively, contribute to system and process improvement, and possess a team focus. Ideally you will have an existing network within broadacre farming circles in Central/Southern NSW, including farmers and agronomists. The following backgrounds are highly regarded:

  • Experienced and well-connected sales representative/territory manager looking to change career direction with a broadacre related product focus.
  • Experienced agribusiness sales manager with a strong interest in technology and proven understanding of broadacre farming.
